Blizzard of 2009!

On Friday, December 18th, we had one HECK of a storm hit us!! After Chris's work holiday party, we "skated" home, relieved my parents who were WONDERFUL and watched Gray for us, and woke up the next morning to THIS!! It ended up snowing all day and almost the entire night...and our totals ended up being almost 2 feet!! Needless to say, Chris has VERY SORE ARMS from shoveling us out by himself, but was a trooper - to say the least! What a fun winter wonderland!! Now, as for Gray playing in it...timing wasn't on our side, and he had a cold (and still has one), so we had to remain indoors...but it SURE was pretty to look at!

Oh yeah!! It's up to my knees!! Sunday's picture...our kiddie play area is buried!!
We had to dig a small area for the doggies to go potty...as you can see, this snow is ridiculous!
The snow was above our front porch!!
Are there cars under there?
My handsome, amazing, strong, and MANLY hubby digs us out :)
We were able to venture out a bit and do some Christmas shopping Sunday afternoon!
What would I do without these two in my life?
Our amazing 17 month old

Army / Navy pics from December 12th

I have to tell you...I'm SO PROUD of my "little" brother, Jason. He's a Firstie at West Point, which in civilian terms means "senior and ready to go to the real world and play war" as well as the D-1 Company Commander! This is a big deal for many reasons, but one of the COOLEST reasons is...he gets his name announced at the Army vs. Navy football pregame as he leads his company proudly onto the field! Here are some pics (in backward order...this site's acting funny tonight...) In this pic, Jason's the one who just made the turn leading them off the field...
Okay, he's the company in the back..again, he's in front :)
There he is...marching in front of his company
He just made the turn and is in front!!!
Nice side profile of JC
Okay, these photos are from before the game...Gray's sporting his Army jersey that Jason gave him for his first birthday! He's cheesing it up for the camera!
I love family shots...we don't get too many of these! We're ready to brave the cold...and Gray reminds me of "Ralphie's" brother "Randy"..."I can't put my arms down!"
Waiting for the march on!!

Aunt Sandy and her little Monkey! My adorable little 17 month old!
Dadda gets some shoulder time with his boy!
After the march on, Jason joins us by our seats before the game starts!
From left to right, back to front:
Sal (Sandy's man), Sandy, Jason, Jen, Mom, Gray, and Dad
The D'Elosua Clan
Sandy hangs with Gray while we wait for the game to start...it did eventually start, but again...8th year in a row...we lost! Oh well...we're there to see Jason anyway!

Molly Wants OUT!!

I'm 34 (really 35 weeks) pregnant, and I've been having LOADS of contractions, round ligament pulling (which feels like the bottom of my belly is on FIRE), and tons of pressure when she stretches....needless to say, I'm pretty sure this little girl is coming EARLY! We're ready for her, but I don't think she's had enough time "baking", so I'm praying she stays in a while longer. Side effects of my pregnancy?? I'm losing my MIND! I'm forgetting so much, getting dates and times wrong, dropping everything, and can't seem to walk that much without having pains...
Good news? Chris and I are super excited about adding her to our family. I was really scared before...asking myself "How can I love her as much as I do Gray?", "How will I be able to take care of two kiddos?", or "How will I be able to share my love and let both of them know they mean the world to me?"...I'm told this is all normal and every parent goes through this, and though that comforts me a little bit...I'm still nervous. Well, I'm betting on a January 18th arrival...Chris is betting on a January 23rd...And the GAME IS ON! ;)

Our First Snowfall Of The Year

Love doesn't even BEGIN to describe how I feel about the snow. It's so beautiful, so quiet, so much fun to play in...We got about 3 or 4 inches I'd say outside, and it snowed ALL DAY LONG! What a perfect day! Grammy and Colonel came over to watch the SEC game with us, and arrived a little early so they could play with Gray in the snow too!

I love our bay window in our kitchen...what a view!
Gray's all dressed up and ready to put on his coat and mittens to go outside and sled for a bit!
He's NOT really sure what to make of the "stuff" falling on his face :)
I had so much fun with him outside!
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!
I think I need to get a better sled, this one's hard to pull!
I LOVE this shot of my dad and Gray!
Colonel, Gray and Grammy....what a fun picture!

We Visited Santa!

We went back to Fair Oaks (where Gray had his first Santa experience last year) and took Gray to see Santa again! Now, all of my friends who have kiddos his age have all said that their kids screamed when they sat on his lap...so naturally, I was prepared for this. Gray hung out with Santa for a bit, they talked trains and all that (Gray was sporting a train vest from Janie and Jack - thanks mom!), then it was time to have Gray sit on his lap. I plopped him down and went away quick...Gray SCREAMED!! The lady working the camera was rattling this ANNOYING jingle thing (which wasn't working at calming him down), when all of a sudden, I spotted a Mickey rattle attached to the camera itself! I said, "Gray, look, it's Mickey!"...and after that, THIS was the facial expression we got. He calmed down but was NOT going to smile! I love this age, I really do!

Gator Family

There's NO doubt about it, we are DIE HARD Gator fans (if you haven't been to our house and seen Chris's bathroom, then you're really missing out on an obsessive treat of the "Gator" kind!). We went to my mom's to watch a game because my brother was in town, and we were able to take some really fun pictures! Take a look!
My two Gator guys!
"Daaaaaaaaaaaad, I KNOW we're number one! Jeesh!" :)
This is one of my FAVORITE all time pictures of these two!
Molly doesn't know it yet, but she's a Gator fan too!
Gray's already pushing her around...do you see that?!
My brother, huggin' the belly
We are SO silly!
Gray's a Tebow fan :)
We celebrated Jason's 23rd birthday that day, and his girlfriend brought over A LOT of balloons! Gray was in HEAVEN! (check out his hair!)

Molly's Last 4D

We had our last 4D ultrasound when I was 31 weeks preggo...we got to see little Molly move around, yawn, stretch, play with her chord, and make funny faces...I can't WAIT to meet her in January!!
Look at the little hand!!
She kept playing and chewing on her chord during our appointment :)

Can you see her little smirk?
She looks like Gray here, I think....
After a lot of belly poking, Molly yawns and says "goodnight"
Fun shot of Mimi and Gray
Mimi and Papa came to see Molly one last time before she enters this world!
He needed a nap before this appointment, I'm afraid! :)
